In process of installing larger intercoolers and decided I'd better remove the carbon canister on my 90 tt. Reviewed both "Robo's" How-to and the Z1 article referencing cc delete. Robo's article instructs, after re-routing the fuel line and capping the air intake tube, to pull the DS intercooler hoses, and capping two vacuum lines with nipples. The included photo also show a nipple on the DS balance tube to be capped, but my car does not seem to have that one? The Z1 article makes no mention of pulling/plugging the vacuum lines under the intercooler hoses. Is the capping of the vacuum lines up top the proper way to go about it and what about the absent balance tube fitting referred to? thanks in advance for any direction.
